Dr. Laila Dantas grew up right outside of Worcester. She commenced her education at Washington University in St. Louis where she graduated with honors with a Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) in Biology.  After college, she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. She graduated with honors and was awarded the Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health Award.  Upon graduation, she completed a general practice residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. As a proud member of the National Health Service Corps, Dr. Laila served in rural Maine for two years. It was here that she found her passion lay in treating children. Dr. Laila pursued further training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and is a board certified pediatric dentist. Dr. Laila is a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

In her spare time, Dr. Laila enjoys hiking, pilates, volunteering, and spending time outdoors with her family, friends and her dog. She loves to travel and has participated in dental outreach projects in the US, Chile and India.
